The chart below shows the investment performance of the Fund’s main investment portfolio – the Balanced Growth Portfolio – ending 31 March 2026.
These returns are after deducting investment management fees.
The Balanced Growth Portfolio performance
This chart compares the returns of the Balanced Growth Portfolio to inflation. The amount earned above inflation is called the real return. The portfolio aims for a real return of 5.5% per year over 7 years.
Over the past 10 years, the portfolio delivered an average return of 9.6%, compared with inflation of 4.6%. This means members earned a real return of 5.0%, close to the Fund’s long-term objective.
Over 7 years and 5 years, returns were even stronger, delivering 11.7% and 12.6% per year respectively.
More recent performance has also been encouraging. Over 3 years and 1 year, the portfolio returned 14.0% and 18.4%.
These results show the benefits of a long-term investment approach.
